Bengali is probably one of the most spoken languages in India. Like most other languages in the sub-continent, it is an Indo-Aryan language, derived from Sanskrit. Bengali has emerged as a language of academia and modern technology. My name is Surabhi and I am a student at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I am writing this blog post to introduce my new website which contains information about Bengali software for learners around the world to study Bengali at their homes using these online interactive courses with audio support. Bengali has become very important for me after I learned about this language. A few months ago, my parents accompanied me to Kolkata, my hometown. There I visited the city museum and saw one of the most precious artefacts in this museum being exhibited. It is a small stone pillar representing three gods. A circle with two parallel lines has been carved on it. The inscription reads, "Lord Shiva vanquished Mahishasura". I asked the attendants of the museum about the origin of the stone pillar, but they didn't know much about it. After thoroughly researching on the internet, I came to know that this stone pillar is actually more than 2000 years old. It had been carved by Indian Buddhists who had migrated to Burma. This experience made me realise that Bengali has a long history and that people belonging to different regions of India lived together for thousands of years, irrespective of religious differences. Today I am trying to give back something of my knowledge about Bengali through this blog. My ultimate goal is to impart knowledge about this language to people all over the world who are willing to learn it at their own pace. As you can see, Bengali software is very important for me as well as many other learners from around the world. I hope that this blog post will be of great value to you.http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-23630262 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GYm2I4MnEw http://dictionaryofbengali.blogspot.com/2011/05/english-to-bengali-translation-of-nabardasanjana_116101_1089.html https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ed/Constitution_of_India_1949.jpg http://www. thehindu.com/features/metroplus/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-general-elections/article3489989.ece http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/manipur-polls-2014beginswithbjpcandidatesbeingpicked/article5891335.ece http://www.freemuse.org/sites/default/files2_files/_pdf_file_/-/-/-/-/-/_pdf_file_0963005553_0_1_1___0_0_.pdf https://www.minorityrightsreport. cfa1e77820
